The Procurement team are working to promote and develop knowledge of the improvements good procurement can provide.
Tayside Procurement Consortium is committed to achieving the most economically advantageous terms (MEAT) for its partners.
MEAT takes into account ''Corporate Social Responsibility'' - the TPC will consider the following when looking at awarding contract:
- Sustainability
- Health, safety and welfare
- Environmental management
- Equality and diversity,
- Fair trade and ethical procurement
- Development of local economy / engagement with the local business community
The TPC's procurement programme will improve procurement practice across all the Councils services - it will improve the way it 'buys' things - this covers EVERYTHING from a 'nail to a new school.'
